1) CONTRACT OF HIRE
The hiring contract shall be between the hirer and OFH. The booking is made subject to these conditions of hire.
2) INITIAL PAYMENT
Bookings will be confirmed upon receipt by OFH of a deposit as detailed on the Booking Form.
3) BALANCE PAYMENT
The balance of hire will be due for payment forty-two days before the holiday commencement date, OFH reserve the right to cancel a holiday where full payment has not been received less than fourteen days before the holiday commencement date
4) PARTIES
All male, female or student groups are only accepted by special arrangement and a deposit of £ 25 per person is charged on top of the advertised price of the accommodation. This is refundable on condition that the property is left as found and no damage is done.
5) CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING
Once a confirmation of booking has been issued by OFH. The hirer is responsible for the total advertised price of the Property and extras as shown on the confirmation of booking
6) BOOKING CANCELLATION
OFH operate a booking cancellation insurance scheme and it is absolutely essential that adequate cancellation insurance is taken out by the hirer. Failure to do this could lead to heavy losses on the hirers Part.
If the reason for the cancellation is outside the protection provided by the hirers insurance. then the deposit paid on booking will be automatically forfeit. So long as written notice of cancellation is received by OFH not less that 8 weeks before the holiday commencement date. Hirers will not be held liable to pay the full balance of the hire. If however cancellation is notified within 8 weeks of the holiday commencement date the hirer will also be liable to pay the full balance of hire unless OFH has been successful in re-letting the holiday.
7) NOTIFICATION OF CANCELLATION
Cancellation must be immediately notified to OFH in writing by 1st class recorded delivery post.
8) AMENITIES
The use of accommodation and amenities where offered such as swimming Pools rowing boats etc. is entirety at the users risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury; and loss or damage to users or visitors belongings.
9) PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Baggage and personal belongings are at the hirers risk at all times.
10) MOTOR CAR
No responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage to any car or its contents.
11) PARTY SIZE
In no circumstances may more than the maximum number of Persons as stated in the advertising matter occupy a property except by prior written agreement with OFH we reserve the right to refuse admittance if this condition is not observed. In addition OFH reserves the right to refuse or revoke any booking from parties, which may in their opinion (and at their sole discretion) be uninviteable for property concerned.
12) HIRERS. RESPONSIBILITY
The hirer is responsible for the property and is expected to take all reasonable care of it. All equipment utensils etc. must be left clean and the properly must be left clean and tidy at the end of the hire period.
13) DAMAGE
All damages and breakage's are the legal responsibility of the hirer and their cost shall be refundable on demand. However minor damage or breakages will not normally be charged.
COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
If the hirer is not entirely satisfied with the accommodation offered he should contact OFH.
15) BROCHURE
While every effort has been made to ensure that the representations contained in the advertising matter are made in good faith neither they nor any oral representations made by employees or representatives of OFH will create liability on the part of OFH.
16) LEGAL
Any dispute arising between OFH and hirers if not mutually resolved shall be referred to a single arbitrator to be agreed or in default of such agreement to two arbitrators one to be appointed by each party and in either case subject to the provisions of the Arbitration Act of 1960 or any statutory modification thereof for the time being in force.
